NAPHTALI

Naphtali's was all amethyst and the color of his Flag was like deep wine color, on it was a hind or deer.


The symbol of Naphtali was a stag or deer and a deer was a symbol of Scandinavian (including Norwegian) royalty.


[Genesis 49:21] NAPHTALI IS A HIND LET LOOSE: HE GIVETH GOODLY WORDS. Napthali we identified with the Naphtalite Huns who settled in Scandinavia especially in Norway. The deer we noticed was a major symbol of Scandinavian royalty and aristocracy.

Judah

Judah's was a carbuncle, and the color of his flag resembled that of the heavens like a sky blue, on it was a lion.

[Genesis 49:9] JUDAH IS A LION'S WHELP: FROM THE PREY, MY SON, THOU ART GONE UP: HE STOOPED DOWN, HE COUCHED AS A LION, AND AS AN OLD LION; WHO SHALL ROUSE HIM UP?

Levi

Levi's was smaragd and the color of his flag was one third white, one third black, and one third red; with the High Priest's breastplate

The Israeli stamp depicts the High Priests breastplate which was worn during the Temple service and as an oracle. It is the symbol of Levi.

Benjamin

Benjamin’s stone was jasper and the color of his flag was multi-colored; and a wolf.

At a later stage in the messianic era, the natural order itself will metamorphose to a world where the physical wolf and lamb will lie down together and live in peace.In the Jewish people itself, the "lamb," Benjamin--symbolized as the "preying wolf"--is thus the "wolf within the lamb."

Dan- scales

Dan's was jacinth and the color of his flag was blue, with a snake.

Alternate:
The Tribe of Dan was represented by a snake or a pair of scales.

Joseph

Joseph's was an onyx and the color of his flag was jet black; with the pyramids.



Alternate:
In popular traditional Jewish art Joseph is also represented by a sheaf of wheat or pyramids. The symbol of a sheaf of wheat for Joseph (or for one of his sons) derives from a dream which Joseph related to his brothers, "My sheaf arose your sheafs stood round about and made obeisance to my sheaf" (Genesis 37;6-7).

Issachar

Issachar's was a blue and the color of his Flag was bluish black ; sun and the moon

The characteristics and skills of Issachar were reflected in its symbols. ISSACHAR is represented by a donkey (Genesis 49; 10) and also by the sun and stars or moon, symbolizing the celestial movements the Sons of ISSACHAR were said to observe and be experts in.

Simeon

Simeon's was topaz and his flag was green, with city or group of buildings.

Alternate:
Tribe of Simeon could be represented by a sword (in popular Jewish Art) presumably due to the "instruments of cruelty" (Gen.49;5: Clei Hamas = "tools of violence") they were likened unto and their use (together with Levi) of the sword in massacring the inhabitants of Canaanite Schechem.

ASHER


Asher's was a beryl anti the color of his Flag was like the pearlescent in color and has an olive tree.

An Israeli stamp depicts the traditional symbol of the Tribe of Asher. This  was an olive tree.

Gad

Gad’s was an agate and the color of his flag was black; on it was tent camp.

Reuben

Reuben's stone was ruby, the color of his flag was red, and a mandrake.

Zebulun- ships at sea


Zebulun’s was an emerald and the color of his flag was white,with a ship.

Jacob prophesied (Genesis 49;13): "Zebulon shall dwell at the haven of the sea and he  shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon".
